KUD „Seljačka sloga“ Šljivoševci osnovan je 17.svibnja 2003.g. s ciljem očuvanja pjesme,plesa,nošnje i običaja svoga njesta, nakon stanke od 30 godina. U društvu radi 50-ak aktivnih članova.

Samim pojavljivanjem na pozornicama u Hrvatskoj postigli smo zapažene rezultate već prvim nastupom u srpnju 2003.g. na Đakovačkim vezovima kada su naš momak i snaša ponijeli titulu najljepših u svojim kategorijama.

U mjesecu veljači 2004.g. na priredbi „Mladost i ljepota Slavonije“ u Starim Mikanovcima naša snaša izabrana je za najljepšu u Slavoniji, a u veljači 2005.g. istu titulu ponijela je i naša djevojka.

Godine 2003.,2004. i 2005. ženska pjevačka skupina KUD-a osvojila je 3.mjesto na smotri pjevačkih skupina Osiječko-baranjske županije, te istu županiju predstavljala na smotri „Alaj pjevam i pjevati znadem...“ u Slavonskom Brodu.

2006. godine, u Starim Mikanovcima, momak u šljivoševačkoj nošnji bubnjara osvaja 2.mjesto, a 2007. snaša u zimskoj nošnji osvaja 3.mjesto.

Društvo je organizator smotre folklora u Šljivoševcima pod nazivom „Suncokret mi urodio diko...“ koja će se ove godine održati četvrti put, krajem 8. mjeseca.

KUD „Seljačka sloga“ Šljivoševci  je u protekle tri godine bio sudionik i rado viđen gost na 100-tinjak pozornica diljem Hrvatske.

2005.g. od 04. do 09. srpnja KUD je bio predstavnik Republike Hrvatske na međunarodnom festivalu „Akademicky Zvolen A-Z 2005.“ u Slovačkoj gdje smo izvodili plesove regija Slavonije i Baranje. Naš primaš (svirač na primi) dobio je Grand-prix festivalskog žirija za najboljeg solista

svirača na festivalu, a koreografija „Idu nama svi svatovi“ Grand-prix za najbolju scensku izvedbu.

Početkom kolovoza 2006. KUD predstavlja RH na festivalu u Mađarskoj na Balatonu, a iste godine KUD je bio sudionik državne smotre folklora Republike Hrvatske „Vinkovačke jeseni“ u Vinkovcima.

Mjeseca srpnja 2007. godine KUD „Seljačka sloga“ Šljivoševci je bio predstavnik Osiječko-baranjske županije na 41. međunarodnoj smotri folkolora u Zagrebu.

Napominjemo da je ovo Društvo nastalo na korijenima Društva koje se ugasilo 1971. godine gušenjem Hrvatskog proljeća. Također, u Društvu postoje oni koji su i prije 30-ak godina bili članovi istog te još po sjećanju prenose dio povijesti,a na ovaj je način čuvaju za budućnost.

The folk dance ensemble “ Seljačka sloga” Šljivoševci was grounded on may 17^th 2003 after a break of 30 years with the goal to preserve songs, dances and customs of our village.  Our association has about 50 active members.

 With our appearance on stages throughout Croatia, we have achieved  noticeable  results. On our first participation  in July 2003 at the manifestation “ Đakovački vezovi” our boy  and “snaša” (a married woman) took the title of the best in their category.

In February 2004 at the show “Youth and beauty  of Slavonia” in Stari Mikanovci our “snaša” (a married woman) was chosen as the most beautiful in Slavonia and in February 2005 the same title went to our girl. On such contests the jury evaluates the look of the attire and knowledge about the apparel they are wearing.

In the years 2003, 2004 and 2005 the female chorus of the Folk dance ensemble took the 3^rd place at the festival of female choruses of the county Osijek and Baranja and represented the county at the festival “Alaj pjevam i pjevati znadem…..” (how I sing and know how to do it….) in Slavonski Brod.

In 2006 in Stari Mikanovci, a boy in a drummer apparel of our village won the 2^nd place and our “snaša” (a married woman) in winter apparel the 3^rd place.

Our ensemble also organizes a yearly folk dance festival in Šljivoševci known as  “Suncokret mi urodio diko..” which will be for the 4^th time this year  at the end of August.

Our Folk dance ensemble was a participant and a dear guest on about a 100 stages throughout Croatia.

 In 2005 from the 04^th till the 09^th of July our Folk dance ensemble represented Croatia at the international festival “Akademicky Zvolen A-Z 2005” in Slovakia where we presented dances of our region Slavonia and Baranja. Our hunky player won the grand-prix of the festival jury as the best soloist player at the festival and the choreography “Idu nam svi svatovi” the grand-prix as the best scene performance.

At the beginning of August 2006 our Folk dance ensemble “Seljačka sloga” Šljivoševci represented  Croatia at a festival in Hungary at Balaton. In 2006 our Folk dance ensemble participated at the Croatian national festival of folk dances “ Vinkovačke jeseni” in Vinkovci.

In July 2007 our Folk dance ensemble “Seljačka sloga” Šljivoševci represented the Osijek-Baranja county at the 41^st international festival of folk dances in Zagreb.

We would like to point out that this Folk dance ensemble was formed on the roots of the Folk dance ensemble which ended it’s work in 1971 with the suffocation of the “ Croatian spring” – a political event. Also, in our Folk dance ensemble are members who were members of the original Folk dance ensemble of 30 years ago and who relate to us parts of history through their memories of that time and by doing so are able to preserve it for future generations.
